Technical Director

Sinovoltaics Group LLC is on the look for Technical Director to join our team of change-makers in the solar industry! The position is designed as full-time fixed-term regular employment, based in Lausanne (canton of Vaud), Switzerland.

In the realm of utility-scale PV + BESS project investments, Sinovoltaics acts as "Innovative Insider" by meticulously overseeing the quality of utility-scale PV and BESS projects. By incorporating our innovative Zero Risk Solar® services, Sinovoltaics ensures operational longevity and secures confidence among stakeholders to invest.

Duties include, but are not limited to of the Technical Director:

• Business growth and development by building new client portfolios
• Servicing existing clients
• Consulting on PV and BESS technical matters with clients
• Develop and maintain testing standards, inspection procedures, and quality assurance plans for Battery Energy Storage components
• Expand the service portfolio with with various Battery Energy Storage related services
• Act as Director of company's Swiss subsidiary

Qualification and Competencies:

• Minimum of five years of experience in PV and BESS operations, preferably in testing and de-risking
• MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent
• Fluency in English is a must, knowledge of German, French and/or Italian is a an added value
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and tasks
• Self starter with growth and business-oriented mindset, creative, reliable, and a good team player

Remuneration:

Gross 6,200 CHF / month + 100 CHF / month of private medical insurance contribution + performance based commission.

The Technical Director position uniquely combines technical expertise with managerial skills. The role is designed to act as Director of company's Swiss subsidiary and serve as a focal point of contact for the team, providing leadership in projects that include but are not limited to consulting on PV and BESS technical matters, developing and maintaining testing standards, inspection procedures, and quality assurance plans for Battery Energy Storage components. The role also encompasses responsibilities such as analyzing potential technical risks and establishing risk assessment with preventive measure for future business ventures, as well as expanding the service portfolio with various Battery Energy Storage related services.

The Technical Director is a position accountable for creating and implementing technical strategies to ensure that the business runs smoothly and that the overall targets and standards are met. In order to do so, the Technical Director is expected to advise on technical progression, share performance updates, and suggest on new areas of improvement, while communicate the technical vision of the company internally to staff and externally to existing and emerging clients. The Technical Director will be also in charge of overseeing the development of new services from initial ideation to market release, focusing on ensuring technical soundness and the efficient use of technical resources. Researching and building on company's knowledge for the purpose to develop new processes and introduce new tools that will lead to innovation and improve the quality and reliability of service, while monitoring the progress of projects to ensure that high technical standards are being met, also constitutes the to-do-list of the position.
