What You Will Do

We are seeking to hire an ambitious and entrepreneurial professional to join the Brinc team as a Program Operations Manager in Shatin, Hong Kong at Science Park. As part of a core team launching a new program in 2021, you will be responsible for meeting with key stakeholders within the organization and externally for program planning, oversight and operations with support from a small execution team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to lead program planning, definition, execution and monitoring. Oversee program operations and provide direction and guidance to the execution team.
  • Logistics support for startups travelling to Hong Kong accepted into the program as well as on-site operational oversight of activities and events while startups are on-site for ~8-10 day period.
  • Cultivate an ecosystem to support program operations by building and nurturing relationships with mentors, corporates, investors, universities, government partners, service providers, and other external counterparties.
  • Promote interactions between our external partners and the startup ecosystem. This will involve supporting partners as they define their thesis, scout for relevant startups, engage with our accelerator programs, conduct pilots and invest in startups.
  • Support our Greater Bay Area business development team as we strive to establish ourselves as market leaders in corporate innovation. This entails identifying new partnership opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, driving business expansion and developing proposals tailored to the needs of prospective customers.
  • Maintain an understanding of key industry, technology and regional trends that are relevant for our programs and our external stakeholders. Work with experts from across the organization to develop hypotheses, conduct primary research, perform targeted data analysis and synthesize market insights to refine our thesis and publish thought leadership.
  • Provide support on a range of ad hoc projects that may include business development efforts, startup screening, improving operational efficiencies and cross-functional collaborations.
  • This role is highly dynamic and collaborative. As you execute on your responsibilities, you will be working with cross-functional teams with members from different divisions and geographies.


Requirements

Must have

  • 3-5 years of client-facing experience in a relevant field (startup, consulting, innovation, technology, corporate strategy, etc.)
  • Passionate about technology, startups, innovation or a particular industry
  • First principles thinker and creative problem solver that is able to adapt to unexpected situations
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and the ability to flourish with minimal guidance or supervision
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering projects from concept to execution
  • Naturally collaborative and can bring in stakeholders from different divisions and markets to make projects successful
  • Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, startup founders and other partners
  • Presentation development and data analysis wizard / wizardess
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Mandarin and Cantonese verbal proficiency required

Nice to have

  • Public speaking experience in small groups
