BFAM's Technology group is looking for Junior Software Developers. Successful candidates will be computer science graduates or have a similar technological/mathematical educational background. Should have strong software development skills, along with high energy and interest in learning finance technologies used in the industry.

Responsibilities
- As a Junior Software Developer, you will be mentored by a senior development professional with years of experience working with technology in a financial setting
- Develop solutions covering one or more of our strategies (volatility, equity amp; convertibles, credit, rates amp; fx) and potential new business areas
- Build and deploy system enhancements to production, learning how to deliver and maintain software in the wild
- Work directly with end-users traders, researchers and highly skilled professionals
- Learn about the various technologies used in our stack (Postgres, Mongo, ActiveMQ, gRPC, Kafka, Kotlin, Python, C#, React etc.) and how to implement software to a professional standard

Requirements
- Upto 3 years experience of software development in a financial institution. Those graduating in 2021 with exposure to financial industry are welcome to apply
- Bachelor's education in computer science or equivalent degree with exposure to software development
- Object-oriented programming experience in at least one of Kotlin, Java, C# or Python. Web development, particularly using React, is a big plus
- Ability to work under pressure in order to deliver value given real world business constraints
- Confident communication on technical topics and eager to discuss various approaches and best practices
- Takes initiative to look for better long-term solutions while persisting in implementing short-term ones
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, with an ability to succinctly explain complex ideas verbally or in writing to a non-technical audienc
