The Cross-Asset Team is looking for a seasoned technologist to lead the charge into an exciting new phase of BFAM's technology journey. The Cross-Asset Team is responsible for building foundation of strategic architectures across BFAM's technology stack, with stakeholders in the Front Office, Middle Office, and across the non-investment team. In the Cross-Asset Team, you will navigate through many different contexts, working with senior trading heads, external vendors, and learning about how a hedge fund works at every level. You will navigate from cutting edge technologies such as the cloud and event driven architectures to old standbys such as SQL databases and scripts. We are looking for someone to help us in raising the bar, setting a new standard for quality and delivery and to be part of mentoring the team through that journey. We want you to be an innovative, big picture problem solver who's fully capable of going into the details and executing on those ideas.
The Team
The Cross Asset team is responsible for the technology that sits at the core of BFAM. Our responsibilities include Booking, Risk and Pamp;L systems, as well as a suite vendor and in-house tools for non-investment teams within BFAM. Our upcoming challenges will focus around building infrastructure that enables BFAM to scale to the next level of quantitative and systematic trading, enabling new products and electronic flows. Our key focus areas will be improved stability and scale, improved efficiency and user experience, and building for longevity.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for working with key stakeholders in Middle Office, Compliance, Human Resources, Risk and Finance to gather requirements, understand existing processes and using technology to improve the efficiency of these business areas.
Learn and understand our risk management environment and toolset. Sophis specific knowledge is a bonus but not required.
Manage the risk configuration of environments to ensure the businesses trading activities are supported by these systems and relevant parties have sufficient working knowledge to use these environments effectively.
Contribute to projects that are supported by the whole Crosss-Asset team, which can include middle office processes, reconciliations, compliance and firm-wide reporting, PnL, Risk, HR systems and Finance.
Have a strategic mind-set and carry it through by a series of quick and high-quality deliverables. Comply with and contribute to development standards and operating model for the team.
