What to expect for this role

We are looking for a Manager to join the Crypto.com Strategy amp; New Ventures team. This role is based in Hong Kong.

Crypto.com has the vision to put Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet. It is an exciting place to be at:

3. Expanding and exciting product portfolio - our products cover crypto trading (wallet app, desktop exchange), payment (Visa card and mobile QR code payment), and financial services (earn, credit, invest, decentralized finance), plus we are developing our own blockchain.

This role is a crossover between strategy for core business lines and for New Venture projects (i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core business). Therefore, it involves both strategic planning in the conventional sense, as well as the room to be creative in coming up with experimental venture ideas. What makes this role exciting:

• Have exposure to different fin-tech business lines - In this managerial role, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to and understand the drivers behind different business lines across payment, trading and financial services, including custodial and decentralized products. This gives you broad exposure to different sectors.

• Deliver insights that help senior executives make critical decisions - You will have exposure to senior executives at Crypto.com. You will make recommendations on critical decisions based on your understanding of what’s driving our performance.

• Learn something new every day - Most if not all projects at Crypto.com are cross-functional, meaning you will be sitting at a roundtable or brainstorming on a whiteboard with colleagues amp; experts from diverse backgrounds - blockchain engineering, mobile development, cybersecurity, customer acquisition, fraud management, banking amp; finance.

There is no such thing as a typical day at Crypto.com - our ethos is to move fast, iterate fast, and dance to the changing tune! That being said, below are some activities you may find yourself taking up:

• Report on the performance of different business lines at Crypto.com (based on inputs from other teams) and generate insights for senior management (e.g., key drivers, possible improvements);
• Have a thorough grasp on the key Pamp;L drivers of the business;
• Have a timely grasp on the pulse of the crypto industry (e.g., emerging trends, competitor insights) and make recommendations to senior management on new business areas we could consider if applicable.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Track record of strong problem-solving amp; strategic thinking, e.g., work experience in management consulting, fin-tech research;
• Experience in management, e.g., leading a team in delivering a project;
• Experience in effectively engaging senior stakeholders, e.g., providing deliverables directly to C-suite;
• Experience or credentials in finance / accounting / engineering or product management a plus (but not necessary); Proficient in oral amp; written English, with fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese a plus;
• Clarity amp; confidence in communication, e.g., experience communicating with senior stakeholders, public presentations and/or teaching, a portfolio of writing samples etc.,
• (Plus) Other demonstrable examples of intellectual curiosity amp; prowess, e.g., Track record in an extracurricular activity/ hobby, specific knowledge in a niche area driven by personal interest, (e.g., knowledge of a certain period in history).

Previous startup experience or experience in blockchain not required, but a plus.
