Business Development Manager - Japan

Now is the time to join us on this exciting journey - we are looking for a Business Development Manager!

Spearhead our launch in the Japanese market
Based in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong and reporting to the Head of Asia Pacific, the Business Development Manager is responsible for spearheading our launch in the Japanese market and identifying and onboarding local distributors and merchants to the Vivino Checkout Marketplace in Japan.

We offer you the opportunity to:

  • Drive the commercial strategy for the Japanese market ahead of our upcoming launch
  • Onboard new wine merchants to the Vivino platform
  • Maintain the relationship with the merchants as the first point of contact
  • Act as a liaison between the merchants and our customer service for escalated issues
  • Support in organising market specific merchant promotions and campaigns

We are a fast growing company and are looking for an highly organised, self- and results driven professional to join us in this role. We hope to see that you have a love for data and really enjoy making this data useful for the merchants. Your analytical skills are strong and you thrive in finding opportunities in data. You have been creative in previous jobs and have found new ways to accomplish what you want - and you never stop because something seems hard.

Also we envision that you have and can demonstrate:

  • 3+ years’ experience in account management or a key account support role
  • Experience in CRM-systems like Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience in eCommerce and/or a Marketplace is preferred
  • Fluent in Japanese speaking and writing, native speaker preferred
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
