This is a full-time role based in Hong Kong and you will report to the Operations and Logistics lead.

Why we need you:

We're on the lookout for a Project Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background to support our Hardware and Production teams.

In this position, you’ll help assist the team on engineering tasks; from component testing to documentation follow up. You will also participate in building on our existing production processes for our current and upcoming holographic display products. This role requires strong communication skills and tight collaboration with our engineers and the rest of our team.

The successful candidate will need to be an individual with a strong work ethic, is hands-on and proactive, and has suitable qualifications and technical experience.

Requirements

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Provide support to engineering, manufacturing and other relevant teams during both development phase and production phase
• Coordinating between various team members and external vendors, ensuring the correct flow of components through our factory.
• Help manage our product development timelines. Handling the schedule and maintaining deadlines with our mechanical engineers.
• Organizing any manufacturing work in our main contract manufacturers and/or sub-contractors in Hong Kong and mainland China
• Helping negotiate with existing and prospective suppliers and vendors
• Travel as required to support all aspects of design, testing and manufacturing of the products.

You'll need these qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or any related disciplines
• Experience in a start-up or a fast paced environment preferred
• 1-3 years hands-on experience in an engineering related position. Recent graduates with a strong work ethic and previous work experience may be considered.
• Good command of Cantonese and English
• Technical experience working with the production of display devices, optics or data processing monitors
• Knowledgeable in fields of product design, mechanics or engineering
• You love invention
