This role will work closely with other members of the regional and global Compliance Team and related teams to ensure that Airwallex meets all of its regulatory obligations supported by a data driven approach, in line with our risk appetite and culture of compliance.
As an early member of the Airwallex team, you will play a front-line role in ensuring that we maintain compliance as we scale our commercial efforts in the region. Your overall objective as a Compliance Data Analyst is to ensure that you provide data based insights to support the compliance oversight function within Airwallex. You will be expected to apply a strong attention to detail and sound, objective business judgment.
Compliance Data AnalystAirwallex is looking for a new colleague in the compliance team to support performing data analytics on Airwallex’ customer base.You will- In this role, you will gain an in-depth understanding of Airwallex’ product offering, customer onboarding and transaction monitoring;
- Perform analysis and build automated monitoring tools to identify potential compliance gaps and risk exposures;
- Partner with Airwallex Compliance Lead and find creative solutions to not only identify compliance gaps, but also to illustrate issues to relevant individuals and/or teams;
- Perform follow-up actions related to your findings and ensure that the relevant parties (including product, operations, engineering teams) understand any compliance gaps and close them accordingly;
- Understand and learn Airwallex internal policies and procedures, and stay up-to-date on AML-related news and emerging regulatory developments and propose data-driven solutions
- Apply your compliance knowledge and data analytical skills to assess the customers risk exposure.

You have- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, bank or (fin)tech experience strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in e.g. Python and SQL;
- Experience using Data Visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau;
- Comfort with a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must; past exposure to a high-growth and/or globally distributed startup is also valuable
- The ability to manage multiple tasks;
- The ability to live up to the high level of integrity and confidentiality of this role.
