The role:This HR Director role will see you owning all facets of the employee lifecycle across our APAC region. Predominantly focusing on employees based in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong (but we also have a presence in MY, India and Japan) you will oversee a team of HR Operations Managers, HRBP and People Experience Managers to ensure regional alignment in all areas of the employee lifecycle.
As Airwallex continues to scale globally, you will work with other HR Leaders in US and EMEA to drive key HR programs and initiatives such as job leveling and compensation benchmarking, salary and share option review. You will be responsible for organisation and leadership development efforts and you will play a key role in talent management and succession planning activity.
The position may be based in any of our Melbourne, Singapore, or Hong Kong offices.

What you will do
  • Oversee the entire HR function across our APAC offices
  • Work with senior business leaders to ensure they are getting the most out of their teams
  • Coach and mentor business leaders to ensure they are effectively leading, managing and developing their teams
  • Own our compensation and benchmarking data and advise finance and Talent Acquisition for headcount and budget approval
  • Create our career progression frameworks and succession planning program for all departments and role types
  • Continually assess systems and process to ensure things are running as efficiently as possible
  • Partner with Department and Team leaders to identify top performers and future potential leaders
What you'll bring
  • Inspiring and impactful individual who has experience leading high performing teams.
  • 8+ years relevant experience and 3+ years in a management capacity. Experience in Asia is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Proven experience leading a Human Resources function for an international company
