Software Developer - Equities Credit strategy
BFAM Partners, Hong Kong

• Hands-on and desk-centric role developing tactical solutions for the equities and credit trading strategies, embedded with the trading team
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the in-house software for pre-trade analysis and risk management.
• Expect to spend 90% of time coding and working with traders.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience working in a developer role, ideally in the financial industry. Experience working in the front office is highly desirable
• Experience with convertible bonds, equities, and credit markets is desirable, but not required.
• A solid understanding of good programming practices is required (e.g. TDD, design patterns).
• Experience in developing electronic trading/order management systems, and/or in developing micro-services
• Experience with/willingness to pick up web-based UI development, e.g. ReactJS, jQuery, version control software, and CI/CD pipelines
• Drive to take product ownership and ability to work independently
• Must be able to work in a trading environment (embedded with the desk), and communicate effectively under pressure

Programming Languages: Java/Kotlin (advanced level), Python (advanced level), JavaScript (intermediate level), OS scripting (bash, .bat)

Production Deployment: Linux, Docker, AWS Cloud

Database: SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
