About the role:
We are looking for a Research Director to join our Research and Insights Team. To succeed in this role, candidates will require well-rounded knowledge in finance, economics, technology, data analysis, and cryptocurrencies. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in research or a related field, while having a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Research team’s day-to-day operations and give direction to team members in their research endeavors
- Conduct research for trending topics in the cryptocurrency industry, including but not limited to DeFi, CBDCs, Regulation, Derivatives, etc.
- Compile reports and articles for both internal consumption and external publication
- Liaison with external research partners including media, consulting firms and academia to grow the firm’s presence as an industry thought leader
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Master’s and PhD are highly welcome
- More than 5 years’ experience in Research, Finance, Cryptocurrencies, Consulting, or similar fields
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and analytical mind
- Native level verbal and written English
- Advanced skill in MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Knowledgeable and passionate about cryptocurrencies
- Deep knowledge of blockchain / distributed ledger technology / finance
- Experience in cryptocurrency industry / consulting firms / financial institutions / academia
- Knowledge of any (and ideally multiple) of the following:
- Experience managing people in the workplace
- Actively investing in cryptocurrencies and/or DeFi
Preferred:
- Statistics, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Solidity, Data Science, Machine Learning
