Job Description

Control Risks is looking to appoint an experienced Security Manager to be based on-site with our client, a leading technology manufacturing and distributing business.

Based in Hong Kong and covering manufacturing and office locations across the Asia Pacific region, this critical role will focus on delivering the regional security program, whilst engaging with local site, country, and area business leaders to provide security subject matter expertise.

This role is being recruited as an initial 12-month contract with great potential for longer-term permanent employment for the successful candidate.

Duties will involve:

  • Provide security subject matter expertise in supporting the client
  • Support day-to-day security management
  • Support the security management program planning efforts
  • Implement risk treatment strategy
  • Support Global Security Operations as required.
  • Successfully deliver the the client's regional security program, engaging with local site, country, and area business leaders to provide security subject matter expertise
  • Function as an extension of the clients global security team
  • Build collaborative cross-functional partnerships and contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Teams, within Security, Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Legal teams, leading training and awareness sessions
  • Serve as a key liaison for partnerships with regional and local teams to maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills, clear and precise writing skills, and effective interpersonal skills
  • Support business leaders in response to security related incidents while maintaining confidentiality and the highest standards of customer engagement
  • Implement the risk treatment strategy identified during security review processes
  • Design and develop training products for regional teams, and deliver threat awareness briefings

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of corporate security experience
  • Supply chain and warehouse security experience highly desirable
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competentcy in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Autonomy to translate strategic direction into actionable plans
  • Prior experience working in an APAC-focused regional role will be highly regarded
