Head of Operations | Operations amp; Middle Office

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance within the Middle Office team on all fund operations issues including fund accounting and valuation, settlement, cash management and newsletter production
• Liaise with service providers such as custodians, fund administrators and executing brokers on fund operation issues
• Oversee attribution of performance, valuation and reconciliation of Pamp;L, valuation and reconciliation of holdings
• Lead the middle and back office operations controls and provide recommendation to improve operation efficiency
• Responsible for NAV reconciliation and fund daily operations including clearance of trade break, reconciliation, cash management, trade reporting and other trade related issues that may arise
• Perform daily and monthly cash and position reconciliations as well as resolve discrepancies; and assist the team in improving daily and monthly processes through refinement in data quality and enhanced control;
• Facilitate schedule of monthly subscriptions and redemptions
• Establishment of new SPs and conducting onboarding with fund service providers
• Establishment of new BVI fund structures and assist with the onboarding with fund service providers
• Oversee the middle and back office operations controls and provide recommendation to improve operation efficiency through the identification of operational control gaps
• Act as a point of contact to liaise with various parties such as auditors, legal, system providers, brokers, custodians and government authorities to ensure daily operations procedure in place

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience within Middle Office/Operations within Financial Services, ideally coming from an Asset Management background
• Experienced in Margin and Collateral Management, back-office clearance and settlement, cash amp; treasury operations as well as trading support
• A proven track record of taking projects from inception, endorsement, design, development, testing, and launch
• Able to work flexibly and independently
• Able to collaborate across the organization
• Possess an inquisitive mind that can focus on the details but also encompass the big picture
• Enthusiastic about crypto-currencies and the blockchain ecosystem
