WATI is an early-stage, venture-backed SaaS platform that is defining how companies communicate with their customers. Through our customer engagement software, built on top of WhatsApp’s Business API, businesses can easily engage with their customers in-real time - at scale!
We are growing fast, and we are now looking for a Technical Project Manager to work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Support and Product. You are a leader that will focus on understanding product features and engineering processes so that you can provide professional technical product management advice and create specifications of the software solution and product feature, and work with the team to deliver results.
What you’ll do:
Provide technical leadership to cultivate relationships with product managers, data scientists/engineers and software architects
Liaise with multiple stakeholders including Dev, Product, Business, CSM and Operations regarding discussion, planning and brainstorming ideas, user experiences and technical requirements
Write and prioritize user stories for the software team according to its impact on product and business requirements
Effectively manage the processes necessary to operate the team in the development of new products, features and solutions
Coordinate software projects with Dev team members
Document technical/KB/solution articles, updates and projects across all parties
What will make you stand out:
Strong track record as a software engineer delivering high impact production software to external users
Technical software project manager or team lead experience
Programming experience
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, MongoDB, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, or similar technologies
Requirements
At ease leading or working in several different technical tasks concurrently
At least 3 years of coding experience and multiple years of Project or Product Management experience
Substantial experience in development of web and mobile app software products
Track record leading a team of software engineers to execute software projects in a product startup environment
Strong communication skills (English, Mandarin and Cantonese - both written and verbal)
Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, agile software development methodologies and development principles
Self-motivated and take the ownership and responsibility seriously
Result-oriented and have an end-to-end mindset
You are experienced with a full development cycle from initial planning to release
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
