What the job does:
We are looking for a driven, passionate superstar to join Team Tilbury as Financial Analyst/ Senior Financial Analyst. You will be involved in all aspects of finance function month-end closing, forecast, budget, invoicing, and AP. You will be part of a growing finance team responsible for closing the month, reconciliation on balance sheet, POS, bank, budget and audit for APAC excluding China. You will thrive on the challenge of a fast-paced environment, and you will be able to use your previous experience as a junior financial analyst/financial analyst to great effect. In your role, you will report directly into our Senior Finance Manager and work cross functionally with the APAC and Global teams.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure 5-day month end close is achieved.
- Management of AR function, including point of sale reconciliation, invoicing, collections, and bank reconciliation.
- Work with AP team to ensure payment on time aligned with PO and invoice.
- Focus on ensuring stock and store reconciliations.
- Preparation and posting of month end journals for prepayments, accruals, fixed assets for month-end process.
- Preparation of month end reporting packs, key balance sheet reconciliations to ensure align with budget and forecast.
- Preparation of monthly travel and cost centre reporting, with insightful commentary.
- Validate and post expenditure accruals at month end based on feedback from budget holders.
- Produce month end commentary for actuals vs budget/forecast.
- Hold monthly meetings with budget holders to ensure expenditure is being recognised accurately.
- Assist to prepare annual audit and year end closing.
- Supporting with the preparation of annual and quarterly forecasts together with Budget with high accuracy.
- Enforce PO policy; provide training to new starters and ensure teams are adhering to the policy.
- Support Senior Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
Some attributes we are looking for:
- Qualified/ Semi-qualified accountant with Degree in Accounting or equivalent disciplines
- Minimum two to three years relevant accounting experience, preferably in Luxury sector or FMCG
- Month end experience is essential
- Retail experience is desirable
- Advance user of Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems knowledge previous experience of NetSuite advantageous but not required
- Flexible amp; proactive, able to drive improvements through to completion
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
