We are looking for a Head of Design amp; Expansion who’ll lead property expansion activities for the business from interior design to project management. If you have strong skills in interior design, construction methodologies and project management, this is the role for you.

You will connect with Landlords, Enterprise clients, Designers amp; Contractors. You will create effective and aesthetically pleasing interiors within the budget and bring our design philosophy to life.

Responsibilities: The role will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Lead and develop the Design amp; Expansion team to innovate and deliver on new properties shaping the future of workplace design
  • Manage and coordinate all expansion projects; evaluate and resolve feasibility, design optimisation and delivery issues
  • Manage all phases of projects, including project kick-off, scheduling, design and construction administration, budgets, and coordinate all internal and external resources with subcontractors, vendors and consultants of multiple projects at one time.
  • Conduct comprehensive site analysis and draft preliminary layout plans, to identify potential sites for our portfolio.
  • Identify and engage with new vendors amp; suppliers, including Famp;B vendors to operate in our outlets
  • Work closely with Upper Management, Commercial Director and Country Managers to determine the best way forward with each expansion project
  • Work closely with the Sales and Enterprise team for customisation to new design and build, make revisions and modifications as needed
  • Frequent, effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Make improvements on existing processes and establishing new processes to allow project scaling and adaptations
  • Make improvements on existing properties including its equipment, facilities and fit-out.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years managing commercial interior, retail, or hospitality construction projects, from initial programming through construction completion
  • Experience designing amp; implementing highly cross-functional frameworks of continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of bringing construction projects in on time and within budget
  • Excellent practical knowledge of design and construction methods
  • Experience tracking holistic project financials including cost estimation and negotiating, tender documents, cost reports and financial reconciliation
  • Proficient in estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, and proposal preparation
  • Program management experience is preferred (e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification)
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD

  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
  • Highly effective and adaptable communicator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be empathetic, team oriented and be able to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
