At DFI Digital, the Finance team is not only looking at today but the future as well. By working cross functionally with all teams, we evaluate the performance of the business, provide actionable insights and support strategic business decisions. We ensure DFI Digital is set up for success, making life easier for our customers and our teams.

The role

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Digital Finance, yuu Rewards and will work closely with the Product Design amp; Development (PDD) team to build a strong business partnership and become a trusted and valued member of their team. You will be responsible for providing financial analytics and valuable insights to drive cost efficiency and financial discipline within the PDD team.

• Develop technology spend scope and governance to enhance the procurement process and better manage/ rack technology spend.
• Provide complete, accurate and timely management reporting and variance analysis comparing actual technology spend versus plan, forecast, and prior year.
• Provide enhanced reporting to identify technology cost saving opportunities.
• Perform and coordinate project-based financial analysis and modelling to support reporting and budget tracking of technology spend, including leading financial business cases for new business initiatives and post implementation review.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for technology investment and operating costs.
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support as requested.
• Lead and initiate enhancements to reporting and insight generation.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in one or more of the following degrees: Business, Accounting, Commerce or similar
• A CA/CPA/CIMA/CFA qualification
• 5+ years of relevant finance experience working in both Big 4 accounting firm and commercial settings, in particular complex and fast paced organizations.
• Proven experience in structured problem solving, preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend alternate actions.
• Ability to generate insights and recommendations that will drive cost efficiency and improve business profitability.
• Strong business and technology acumen and analytical skills, preferably with an understanding of loyalty/eCommerce platforms and product design and development tools.

• Continuous improvement mindset and track record of execution and impacting and influencing colleagues in Digital, Product Design and Development teams.
• A gravitas to hold the business to account in delivery its performance objectives.
• Prior working experience or strong interest in tech/ digitally enabled companies and products including product design and development.
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office
