We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Group Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial analysis.
Responsibilities
Local Reporting
- Report to the Group Finance Manager;
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for local reporting;
- Review financial data and provide analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement;
- Prepare financial reports for local management;
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards for local reporting (i.e., IFRS);
- Communicate with the general accounting team for local operations;
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and external parties to ensure relevant statutory compliance; and
- Ensure the system of internal controls is appropriately maintained and followed.
Group Reporting
- Prepare and consolidate financial data for group reporting, including ensuring accurate and timely completion of all group consolidation reports;
- Prepare the consolidation notes of the consolidated financial statements;
- Review financial data and provide analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement for the group;
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations for the group;
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings for the group;
- Prepare financial reports for group management and external stakeholders;
- Support the Group Finance to review management reporting from subsidiary levels and facilitate special projects, and work for process improvements;
- Ensure the financial reports comply with the PCAOB standards and have sound knowledge of the SarbanesOxley Act; and
- Assist with other finance-related projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Professional accounting qualification (HKICPA or CPA or equivalent);
- Minimum 4 years of audit experience with an international accounting firm, experience in listed company reporting is highly preferred;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations;
- Strong technical knowledge of the PCAOB standards and taxation regulations, good working knowledge of consolidation accounting, financial control management, and planning;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications, such as Microsoft D365;
- Excellent communication skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; and
