PeopleCert is looking for a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in developing a strong pipeline and delivering new business in their territory.


Through an in-depth understanding of PeopleCert business and go-to-market strategy, you establish relationships with decision makers of training organisations, academia, language education influencers, language schools, language universities, local communities and corporations in your territory.


The successful candidate will be responsible for LanguageCert portfolio.

LanguageCert is a UKVI accredited SELT provider.


As a Business Development Manager, your tasks will include the following:

  • Maintain and achieve maximum B2B market penetration of LanguageCert products, implementing a target-driven sales strategy
  • Generate demand for our products and services with employers, educational institutions, immigration advisers/ solicitors and other clients in training, education, and related markets.
  • Liaise with partners, including language schools, local community centers and networks, universities, to sell language certifications.
  • Deal with customer enquiries and exceed their expectations.
  • Devise and implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business.
  • Coordinate various aspects of activity in tandem with the company's operations base and local market conditions and culture
  • Plan and organise a tailored sales strategy by maximising the Return on Time Investment for the territory/ segment
  • Monitor own progress against daily/ weekly/ monthly targets and report accordingly to the Headquarters
  • Facilitate and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, working closely with customer support teams
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.


What we look for:

  • Bachelor's or relevant degree required.
  • 8+ years' experience in driving new business development, with proven track record in driving successful business development transactions
  • Prior experience in the English Language Education market, Consulting or Examination / Certification sectors in previous role(s) is an absolute must
  • Excellent command of the English Language (native-like or C2 level certification), LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus and Excellent command of the Chinese Language (native-like or C2 level certification)
  • Excellent IT skills, ECDL Core/Expert certification will be considered an asset
  • Sound understanding of channel development, strategy selling principles, partnership strategy and consultative selling
  • Superb relationship, communication, and negotiation skills in working with executives, external constituents, and other business functions at all levels of seniority in a versatile and mixed-cultural environment
